MARCH 22,2025 – ART EXHIBITION AT HUNAR KRITI

The Art Exhibition at Hunar Kriti was a vibrant showcase of creativity, imagination, and cultural expression. This event brought together artists, students, and art enthusiasts to celebrate the power of visual storytelling through various forms of art — including painting, sculpture, photography, mixed media, and digital art. Hunar Kriti, meaning "creative talent," serves as the perfect platform for emerging and established artists to present their work, share their inspirations, and engage in meaningful dialogue with the community. The exhibition not only highlighted individual talent but also reflected broader social, historical, and emotional themes, making art a medium for connection and reflection.

March 26,2025 –Expert Talk By Adv Kumar Sambhav Role of general awareness & Aptitude in government exams

The The session focused on familiarizing participants with the latest trends in government exam patterns, emphasizing the importance of current affairs, and developing strong aptitude skills. The workshop successfully achieved its objective of providing participants with a clearer understanding of general awareness topics and aptitude test strategies. It encouraged self-study, regular practice, and smart preparation techniques for achieving success in competitive government examinations.

ONLINE EXPERT TALK

Entrepreneurship is significant because it drives economic growth by creating jobs, fostering innovation, and improving living standards. It also contributes to national income, supports research and development, and promotes community development. Moreover, entrepreneurship empowers individuals, increases productivity .

POST BUDGET EXPERT TALK 2025

A post budget breakdown session was held on Feb 3,2025 lead by CA Sonia Arora and CA Bhanu Dhir. A government budget is crucial for economic stability and growth as it outlines how a nation's financial resources are planned and used. It helps manage inflation and deflation, allocate resources efficiently, and boost investor confidence, ultimately contributing to a healthier and more stable economy.
Budget  allows you to live within your means and derive maximum benefits from available resources. Budgeting can help as below:
Financial Awareness: Budgeting helps to understand your relationship with money . one can manage finances , investment decision and other expenses for improving standard of living  after considering all the factors promptly .

Additionally, group discussions promote active listening, encourage respect for different viewpoints, and help in making better decisions by considering multiple angles .
GROUP DISCUSSION SEMESTER 4TH
Group discussions are more than requests to respond to recall questions. Group discussions can help participants explore and interpret a topic. DAY 3 PEDAGOGY WEEK OF CREATIVE WRITING
This was part of pedagogy in which students write about unknown topics which facilitate their growth and development . It stimulates imagination and creativity .

VIDEO CASE STUDIES FOR SEMESTER 2ND
This was organized on 6th of february in which students of BCOM & BBA were studied using video case studies related to management .
DAY 5 PEER TO PEER LEARNING
Peer learning, where individuals learn from and teach each other, is important because it enhances the learning experience, builds essential skills, and fosters collaboration. By actively engaging in teaching and learning, individuals improve retention, motivation, and problem-solving abilities. It also cultivates a collaborative environment, encourages diverse perspectives, and promotes social and communication skills.

ALUMNI SESSION ON CONSUMER PROTECTION BY ALUMNI MS. RETASHU

Consumer protection is practice of safeguarding buyers of goods and services against unfair means  used by companies . This session by one of the alumni states the importance and rights of consumers to the students . Mechanism of consumer protection includes acts , redressal of complaints etc.

ALUMNI SESSION ON ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE BY ALUMNI MS. SIMRAN BAKSHI

Artificial intelligence (AI) is important because it enhances efficiency, automates tasks, improves decision-making, and drives innovation across various industries, from healthcare to business and beyond. 
1. AI can automate repetitive and time-consuming tasks, freeing up human workers to focus on more complex and strategic work. 
2. AI algorithms can process vast amounts of data and identify patterns much faster than humans, leading to quicker insights and decisions.

BUSINESS PLAN COMPETITION ORGANISED

This event was organized on 11th of March in which students of BCOM & BBA participated and showcased their business ideas in an innovative and creative way.  BUSINESS PLAN
A business plan is crucial for entrepreneurs and established businesses because it serves as a roadmap for success, guiding decision-making, securing funding, and fostering clarity within the team. It also helps identify potential challenges and opportunities, increasing the likelihood of long-term sustainability.

WORKSHOP ON FINANCIAL LITERACY

Financial literacy is the ability to understand and effectively use various financial skills, including personal financial management, budgeting, and investing. When you are financially literate, you have the essential foundation for a smart relationship with money. This can help start a lifelong journey of learning about the financial aspects of your life.

ALUMNI SESSION BY MS RAJWINDER

Alumni sessions to focus on education programs, counselling, and volunteering. They act as a strategic asset to develop the professional integration of students.  By engaging alumni, an institute can continue to benefit from their skills and experience Alumni are great role models for current students and offer practical support to students as they start their careers.

INDUSTRIAL VISIT

BCA & B.Sc. IT students visited “Sensation”, a renowned IT company in Mohali on 5 th Feb 2025, gaining valuable insights into real-world software development and industry practices. The visit enhanced their practical understanding of current technologies and boosted their career readiness.

RESUME & PORTFOLIO BUILDING

An activity focusing on Resume Writing and Portfolio Development was organized on 17-02-2025. It successfully provided students with practical knowledge and skills in resume writing and portfolio development. Attendees left with improved resumes, structured portfolios, and a better understanding of how to present themselves professionally

BINARY PUZZLE

A Binary Puzzle activity was organized on 19-02-2025 to enhance logical thinking and problem-solving skills among students. Participants enthusiastically decoded binary patterns, showcasing their analytical abilities in a fun and competitive environment.

PowerPoint (PPT) Competition

The PowerPoint (PPT) Competition was successfully held on 20/2/2025. The competition aimed to enhance participants' presentation skills, creativity, and ability to convey information effectively using PowerPoint. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students.The event successfully achieved its objective of promoting effective presentation techniques.

ALUMNI TALK

Alumni Talk was organized on 20 March 2025. The alumni-led workshop successfully bridged the gap between academic learning and industry practices, offering students a platform to gain firsthand insights from accomplished professionals. Such initiatives not only enrich the curriculum but also strengthen the bond between alumni and their alma mater, fostering a collaborative and supportive community.

REVERSE CODING

Reverse coding competition was organized on 26th March 2025.It is an innovative, intuitive and logic based competitive programming contest where the questions are mainly based on logical thinking. The participants must figure out the logic in the reverse way by trying various outputs from a given file and after figuring out the logic they will have to write an efficient program.

Workshop on AI for Teaching

The Computer Department organized a hands-on workshop for faculty members on September 17, 2024. During the session, Ms.Aditi and Mr.Amit explained how AI is revolutionizing education through personalized learning tools, automating administrative tasks, and serving as a virtual teaching assistant. Following the presentation, faculty members had the opportunity to practice using various tools discussed during the session.

Expert Talk

On September 20, 2024, Ms.Anju, Assistant Professor, conducted an insightful session on Network Security and Cryptography. The session covered the fundamentals of networking, various security concerns associated with networks, and cryptography, highlighting its role as a technique for ensuring security.

Industrial Visit

In collaboration with the CCPC Cell, CTIHS organized an industrial visit to CS Soft Solutions on September 20, 2024, for students of the Computer Department. They were accompanied by two faculty members, Ms.Aditi and Mr.Virat, and guided by the company's staff. The primary objective of this visit was to familiarize students with the best practices and processes involved in software development. It also provided an opportunity for students to interact with industry experts and gain valuable insights from their experience.

Tech Titans: Mastering PC Assembly

The Computer Applications Department organized a one-day workshop titled “Tech Titans: Mastering PC Assembly.” This peer-learning, hands-on session focused on computer networking, hardware assembly, and troubleshooting, catering to students from diverse backgrounds.

The Commerce and Management Department organized a workshop on Resume Writing and Mock Interviews on October 7, 2024. The workshop aimed to assist students in creating resumes that effectively highlight their professional goals, aspirations, and desired career paths.

Medical Healthcare Symposium

The Physiotherapy Department organized the Medical and Health Care Symposium on October 4, 2024. This event served as a dynamic platform for physiotherapy students to showcase their knowledge and skills while engaging with leading medical professionals. Featuring renowned doctors as guest speakers, the symposium provided invaluable insights into the latest advancements in medical and physiotherapy practices, fostering professional growth and inspiring future healthcare leaders.

International Conference

The Virtual International Conference on Sustainability and Holistic Developmentwas organised by CTIHS on August 24, 2024. The event began with a warm welcome note by Mr.ViratRehani, who introduced participants to the CT Group and its various institutions, including CTIHS. This global platform brought together academicians, researchers, and professionals to discuss and exchange ideas on fostering sustainable practices and holistic development across industries and communities.
